Best known for the iconic large Sears Crosstown distribution center that was built In 1927, that the area has gotten its' name from. It is the landmark of the area and an example of art deco architecture.  The building, long past its' heyday sat empty and vacant for years.  

About 10 years ago, a revitalization started with the goal of bringing the building and the area back to life.  The place is now a spark of growth for the surrounding areas and quickly becoming a place to see/go.
