Mud Island is an 132 acre sandbar that is host to Harbor Town on one end and Mud Island on the other.  

Mud Island is a part of the Memphis River Parks.  You can drive over to the island off of Front St. Via A.W. Willis Ave or take the skybridge from Front St.  In the Mud Island Park you will find an Amphitheatre where various events are held and the Mississippi River Museum(Temporarily Closed).  

The other end of the island is referred to as Harbor Town is a conglomeration of various types of homes from a hotel to apartments  up to mansions with views.  The island is friendly to walkers and bikers alike.
